Fix an issue when you hear an echo on voice calls when the TTY default setting is changed on your Palm Centro

Last updated: Oct 19, 2009

You may experience the following issue with your Palm® Centro™.

If the TTY/TDD setting is set to "Default Call Mode," an echo may be heard by the called party while on a voice call. This occurs at any call volume level.

You can fix this issue by changing the default TTY setting to "Off":

  1. Press Phone, and then press Menu
  2. Select Options
  3. Select Phone Preferences
  4. Select the TTY Mode pick list
  5. Select Off

Note: At any time, you can check that you have the latest software version for your phone. For instructions on how to check your software version and update your phone software, refer to Check for Updates.
