Troubleshoot why your HTC Touch Diamond has incoming SMS messages showing an incorrect year

Last updated: Jan 22, 2010

A software patch corrects the following issue with your HTC Touch Diamond.

Some Windows Mobile devices, like your Touch Diamond, may show an inaccurate date with incoming SMS messages showing a year of 2016, caused by the device attempting to translate a hexadecimal value into decimal when it should not, causing an inaccurate date to be displayed.

To fix this, please download the hotfix patch by going to our Touch Diamond download site and following the directions.

Note: At any time, you can check that you have the latest software version for your phone. For instructions on how to check your software version and update your phone software, refer to Check for Updates.
